Dell Latitude 5521 15.6-inch laptop

The Dell Latitude 5521 is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11850H vPro processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It comes with 32 GB DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The chassis weighs 3.9500 kg and has a Titan Grey finish.

Suits mobile professionals needing vPro

This configuration suits IT-managed fleets that require Intel vPro manageability and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Buyers who want a higher resolution display, a touchscreen, a backlit keyboard, or a lighter ultraportable chassis should look at other models. The 1366 x 768 TN panel also limits colour-critical work.

15.6-inch 1366 x 768 TN display at 60 Hz

The single specification that decides fit is the 15.6-inch TN panel with 1366 x 768 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 220 nits brightness and 45% NTSC coverage. It is non-touch and anti-glare. If your workflow demands sharper text, wider viewing angles or better colour fidelity, this screen will not meet those needs.

Questions about this item

Will the 45 W i7-11850H throttle under continuous heavy workloads?

The 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11850H vPro is rated at 45 W with 8 cores and 16 threads reaching 4.80 GHz; sustained loads may trigger thermal management depending on chassis cooling.

How loud and hot does the laptop get during all-day use?

The 15.6-inch TN display runs at 220 nits and 60 Hz while the 45 W processor and DDR4 3200 MHz memory generate heat managed by internal fans; fan noise rises under load.

What must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 4 ports for dual monitors?

Two Thunderbolt 4 cables or adapters and monitors with DisplayPort or USB-C inputs are required; the laptop provides Power Delivery and DisplayPort over its two USB-C ports.
