Product Identity

The Dell Latitude 5570 is a 15.6-inch business laptop built around a 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6820HQ quad-core processor running at 2.70 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory in a dual-channel 8 GB x 2 layout and a 512 GB solid-state drive. The non-touch FHD display resolves 1920 x 1080 and is driven by integrated Intel HD Graphics with optional Radeon support. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Target Fit

This configuration suits professionals who need a durable, serviceable chassis with a full complement of legacy and modern ports including VGA, HDMI, RJ-45, USB 3.0 and a dock connector. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a discrete graphics card, or a lighter ultrabook form factor should look elsewhere. The 4.61 lb weight and 1.0 inch front height make it less suited for frequent carry-on travel.

Deciding Specification

The 512 GB SSD is the single spec that determines whether this unit meets your storage requirement without further upgrades. The chassis supports multiple drive configurations up to 1 TB, but this model ships with a single 512 GB drive and no secondary drive installed. If your workload demands more onboard capacity out of the box, this is not the right SKU.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6 inch chassis fit in a standard laptop sleeve?

The laptop measures 14.8 inches wide, 9.9 inches deep and 1.0 inch high at the front, so a sleeve sized for a 15.6 inch notebook will accommodate it.

How do I add more DDR4 memory, and which slot do people forget?

The board has two SO-DIMM slots; the unit ships with 8 GB x 2 installed, so both slots are occupied and upgrading to 32 GB means replacing both modules, not just adding one.

When will the 512 GB SSD need replacement?

Solid-state drives have no moving parts, so the 512 GB SSD typically lasts for years; plan to replace it only if capacity runs out or SMART diagnostics report wear.
