Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5" 256 GB SATA SSD and what step is often missed?

The drive slides into the internal 2.5" bay and connects to the SATA data and power cables; the step often missed is securing it with the caddy screws so it cannot shift.

Which memory modules will need replacement if I want more than 16 GB DDR3?

The laptop uses two 8 GB DDR3 SODIMM sticks; to exceed 16 GB you must replace both modules with higher-capacity DDR3 SODIMMs.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained loads on the Core i5-4300U?

The dual-core 1.9 GHz processor hits its thermal ceiling before the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400, causing clock throttling under prolonged heavy work.
