Rugged tablet for field professionals

The Dell Latitude 7212 is an 11.6-inch rugged tablet built for mobile workers in harsh environments. An Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and 16GB of LPDDR3 memory runs Windows 10 Pro. Integrated Intel HD Graphics drive the glove-capable touchscreen protected by Gorilla Glass. A 128GB M.2 SATA solid-state drive stores the operating system and field data.

Suits outdoor data capture.

This unit fits surveyors, technicians and logistics crews who need GPS tagging and a sunlight-readable display while wearing gloves. Wireless 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 keep connections live on site. Buyers who require a physical keyboard for continuous typing should note that none is included with the tablet. The 34Whr battery supports limited shift time away from power.

128GB M.2 SATA SSD capacity decides fit

The solid-state drive uses the SATA interface in an M.2 form factor and provides 128GB of total storage. This capacity determines how much offline mapping data, inspection media or local databases the device can hold without external drives. Verify that the SATA protocol matches your imaging or deployment tools before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the 128GB M.2 SATA SSD need replacement if I run out of space?

The 128GB M.2 SATA Class 20 SSD can be swapped for a larger M.2 SATA drive when capacity becomes a constraint.

Does the 15W i7-8650U throttle during long workloads?

The quad-core i7-8650U is rated at 15W; sustained loads will hit thermal limits before the power limit becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the tablet get when used all day on the 34Whr battery?

Fan noise rises under continuous load while the magnesium chassis spreads heat; the 34Whr pack typically lasts a few hours at full brightness.
