Business 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7240 2-in-1 is a convertible laptop built for business users who need a touchscreen device that switches between laptop and tablet modes. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe drive. The 14.0 inch 1920 x 1080 display supports touch input for direct interaction.

Quad-core Tiger Lake CPU with 4.8 GHz turbo

The single specification that decides fit is the Intel Core i7-1185G7, a quad-core 11th Gen processor with a 3.0 GHz base clock and 4.8 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It provides 12MB of L2 cache and 12MB of L3 cache for responsive multitasking across business applications. Buyers who need more cores or a newer architecture should consider other options.

Integrated graphics and efficient 14 inch chassis

Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory and handle typical office workloads without a discrete GPU, keeping heat and fan noise moderate in normal use. The compact 14.0 inch form factor limits cooling capacity, so sustained heavy loads will raise temperatures and fan speed. Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 802.11ax add connectivity without increasing thermal load significantly.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.8 GHz turbo frequency perform in everyday business workloads?

The quad-core i7-1185G7 reaches 4.8 GHz on short bursts, letting heavy spreadsheets or video calls finish faster before the chip drops back to its 3.0 GHz base to manage heat and battery life.

What does the Thunderbolt 4 port actually limit when I connect docks or monitors?

Each Thunderbolt 4 port caps at 40 Gbps, so a single 4K display or a dock with multiple 1080p screens runs at full speed; chaining two 4K panels will share that bandwidth.

Will the 14.0" touchscreen chassis fit in my existing 14-inch laptop sleeve?

The 14.0-inch convertible body matches standard 14-inch sleeve dimensions; verify sleeve depth for the hinge mechanism.
