Business convertible laptop

The Dell Latitude 7240 2-in-1 is a 14.0" touchscreen convertible built for mobile professionals who need a single device for laptop and tablet workflows. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe drive. The Carbon Fiber chassis carries a Grade B cosmetic rating with visible surface scratches or imperfections.

Installation and common issues

As a complete laptop, the unit requires no internal hardware installation; simply connect the included charger and power on. The Grade B cosmetic condition means the exterior shows scratches or blemishes that do not affect operation but may disappoint buyers expecting a pristine finish. Thunderbolt 4 ports handle docking and peripherals, though cable compatibility should be verified.

Pre-purchase checklist

Confirm that a 14.0" 1920 x 1080 touchscreen convertible suits your mobility and screen-size preferences. Verify that 16GB DDR4 and 256GB NVMe meet your memory and storage requirements without upgrade plans. Ensure Windows 11 Pro, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1, Wi-Fi 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.1 cover your connectivity needs.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-1185G7 reaches its 4.8 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and watch the speed readout while running a demanding task; it should climb toward 4.8 GHz.

The listing mentions Grade B cosmetic condition — what ships in the box and what must I source myself?

The box contains the Latitude 7240 2-in-1, its charger and the internal battery; no dock, stylus or extra cables are included.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 / 256 GB NVMe configuration or look for a larger capacity?

The 16 GB DDR4 and 256 GB NVMe suit typical business workloads; if you run large datasets or virtual machines, seek a model with more memory or storage.
