Ready-to-run business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7280 ships with Windows 10 Pro, an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor at 3.40 GHz, 8 GB of DDR4 2133 memory and a 128 GB solid-state drive. A 12.5 inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare panel and Intel HD Graphics handle daily office workloads. Integrated 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect peripherals and networks. The 3-cell 42 Wh battery and 65 W adapter supply mobile power.

Suits mobile professionals, not heavy creators

Workers who need a light 1.18 kg chassis for travel, document editing and video calls will find the specification adequate. Buyers who want more storage, a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen or a larger display should look at something else.

128 GB SSD capacity

The single solid-state drive holds the operating system and a modest set of applications; users with large media libraries or virtual-machine images will need external or cloud storage.

Questions about this item

Can the 8GB DDR4 2133 memory be upgraded later?

The 8GB DDR4 2133 module is the only memory installed; any upgrade would require replacing it with a compatible DDR4 SO-DIMM.

What thermal limit appears first when the i7-6600U runs at 3.40 GHz continuously?

The 15 W processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle before the 65 W adapter or 42 Wh battery become limiting factors.

How loud and hot does the 3-cell 42 Wh battery system get during an all-day workload?

The 15 W CPU and integrated graphics keep fan noise low and surface temperatures modest; the 65 W adapter stays cool while the 42 Wh battery supplies a full day of typical use.
