Mobile workstation for business users

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a compact 12.5-inch laptop built for professionals who need a portable Windows 11 Pro machine. It runs on an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with Intel UHD Graphics 620, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe M.2 SSD. The 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display suits office applications and travel.

Simple setup with limited upgrade paths

Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed so the system is ready to use after the initial configuration screens. Memory is populated as 4 GB x 2 modules; the supplier notes the platform can support up to 32 GB, but the chassis uses a unibody design that makes internal access difficult for most owners. Storage uses an M.2 slot that accepts SATA or NVME drives.

Check ports and expansion needs before buying

The laptop provides a pair of USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C with DisplayPort functionality, a headphone jack and built-in Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. There is no optical drive and the webcam is front-facing only; an infrared camera for Windows Hello is optional and not guaranteed on every unit. Verify that the available I/O matches your peripherals and docking requirements.
