Compact 12.5" business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5-inch full-HD notebook powered by an 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB PCIe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display output.

Mobile professionals needing integrated graphics

This unit suits users who want a lightweight Windows 11 Pro machine for office applications, web browsing and video calls. The non-touch 1920 x 1080 screen and 8 GB of soldered memory limit upgrade headroom, so buyers who need user-replaceable RAM, discrete graphics or a larger display should consider other form factors.

1 TB SSD and 8 GB DDR4 headroom

The 1 TB solid-state drive provides ample space for operating system, applications and local files without relying on external storage. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory handles typical multitasking and productivity workloads; heavier virtualisation or large dataset work will exceed the available capacity.

Questions about this item

Does the i5-8350U require a specific charger to reach its 3.6 GHz turbo speed?

The laptop ships with its original power adapter; the processor manages turbo frequency automatically when thermals allow.

Can I keep my Bluetooth 4.1 headset paired while the laptop sleeps?

Yes, Bluetooth 4.1 maintains the connection in modern standby so the headset stays paired across sleep cycles.

How do I confirm the 1 TB PCIe M.2 SSD is recognised at full speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose the SSD, and verify the interface reads PCIe with active read/write throughput.
