Ready for mobile work

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5 inch laptop built for professionals who travel or meet clients regularly. Its quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor runs at 1.9 GHz with 8 MB of L2 cache, while 8 GB of DDR4 memory keeps everyday business applications responsive. The 1366 x 768 HD display and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handle documents and presentations without a discrete GPU. Windows 10 Pro x64 comes pre-installed.

Ports and expansion covered

Two USB 3.0 ports connect standard peripherals, while a single Thunderbolt USB-C port adds high-speed data and display options for future docking needs. An HDMI output links directly to projectors or televisions in meeting rooms. Gigabit Ethernet provides a wired network fallback, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.2 handles wireless connectivity. A microSD card reader offers quick media access without an external adapter.

Essentials included

The box supplies the laptop, its battery and a charger so the system is operational immediately. The 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD delivers faster boot and load times than a mechanical drive while conserving power. A built-in 720p webcam supports video calls without extra hardware. The non-touch HD screen keeps weight low for frequent carry, and the absence of an optical drive reflects the ultraportable focus.

Questions about this item

Will the 128GB M.2 SATA SSD fill up quickly if I install large applications?

The 128GB M.2 SATA SSD provides limited space; large applications and media files will consume it fast, so plan to store bulky data on external drives or cloud services.

Does the Intel UHD Graphics 620 run hot or loud during an all-day workload?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares the CPU cooling system; under sustained load the fan will spin up but typical office tasks keep temperatures and noise low.

Do I need a Thunderbolt 3 dock to connect external monitors?

The laptop includes one HDMI port and a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port; a Thunderbolt 3 dock is optional but lets you drive multiple displays and add peripherals through a single cable.
