Compact business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7290 combines a 12.5-inch display with an Intel Core i5-7300u dual-core processor and 16GB of memory. A 256GB M.2 SSD provides fast storage for documents and applications. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dual-core processor handles typical office multitasking and web-based tools without thermal throttling during extended sessions. Sixteen gigabytes of memory keeps multiple browser tabs and business applications responsive. The solid-state drive maintains consistent read and write speeds compared with mechanical alternatives.

Build and connectivity implications

The 12.5-inch chassis fits easily into compact bags and works on airline tray tables. A 1920 x 1080 resolution panel renders text sharply at the native 1080p maximum. The 24.2-megapixel specification suggests a high-resolution webcam for clear video calls. M.2 storage leaves traditional drive bays unused for a lighter frame.
