14-inch touchscreen business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7400 is a 14.0-inch FHD touchscreen laptop built on a carbon-fibre chassis. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-8665U quad-core processor with a 4.80 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD for fast boot and application load times.

Professionals needing portability

This configuration suits mobile professionals who value a light 1.36 kg design, integrated privacy options such as a camera shutter and optional SafeScreen, and remote fleet management via vPro extensions. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card, a larger display, or upgradeable memory should consider other models.

Sustained workload behaviour

The integrated graphics chip shares system memory, so extended heavy rendering or multi-monitor workloads will be limited by thermal headroom in the slim chassis. Thunderbolt 3 with Power Delivery and DisplayPort allows an external GPU or dock for prolonged sessions, while the 7.4 mm barrel connector keeps the internal battery topped up during desk use.

Questions about this item

What Thunderbolt version does the laptop provide for docks and external displays?

The laptop includes a Thunderbolt 3 port with Power Delivery and DisplayPort so a single cable can charge the system and drive an external monitor.

Can I keep using my existing USB 3.0 Type-A peripherals with this machine?

Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports are present, one with Powershare, so current USB 3.0 devices work without adapters.

How do I confirm the touchscreen and webcam are functioning after first boot?

Open the Camera app to verify the integrated webcam image, then tap the 1920 x 1080 FHD touch panel and watch the cursor follow your finger.
