DELL Latitude 7400 14" laptop Core i7 32GB 256GB

Purpose-built mobile workstation

The Dell Latitude 7400 is a 14-inch business laptop equipped with an Intel Core i7 8th Gen processor running at a minimum of 1.90GHz. It ships with 32GB of installed memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed with a recovery image on the drive.

Sustained thermal behaviour

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles desktop workloads and video playback without a discrete GPU. Under continuous load the U-series processor will throttle to maintain safe temperatures, so extended compile or render runs will settle at lower clocks than the 1.90GHz base. The 1366 x 768 panel keeps the pixel count modest, reducing sustained GPU pressure.

Deciding specification

The 1366 x 768 resolution on a 14.0-inch display is the single figure that determines suitability; text and UI elements will appear coarser than on higher-density panels. Buyers who need sharper visuals for design, detailed spreadsheets or multi-window coding should look elsewhere. The 32GB memory and 256GB SSD are generous for general office tasks.
