Business ultraportable

The Dell Latitude 7400 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows 10 Pro machine. Its carbon fibre chassis keeps weight to 1.36 kg while housing a quad-core Intel Core i7-8665U processor and 16 GB of memory for everyday productivity.

Storage and memory headroom

A 1 TB SSD provides ample space for large project files and local databases without relying on external drives. The 16 GB RAM handles multi-tab browsing and office suites comfortably, though memory is not user-expandable so future-heavy workloads may hit a ceiling.

Connectivity and build integration

Thunderbolt 3 delivers power, data and video through a single port alongside HDMI 1.4, USB 3.1 Gen 1 and a uSD 4.0 card reader. The slim 17.82 mm front profile fits tight bags, but the fixed 14.0 inch non-touch display limits users who want pen input or a larger canvas.

Questions about this item

Will the Thunderbolt 3 port work with my older USB-C dock?

The Thunderbolt 3 port supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort, so a USB-C dock will connect for data and video, though Thunderbolt-specific features will not activate.

How can I verify the i7-8665U is reaching its 4.8 GHz turbo?

Open Task Manager under the Performance tab while running a heavy single-thread load; the clock speed should climb toward 4.8 GHz if thermals allow.

Does the box include a power adapter for the 7.4 mm barrel jack?

The supplier data lists the DC-in 7.4 mm barrel port but does not confirm whether an adapter is bundled.
