Dell Latitude 7420 bundle

The Dell Latitude 7420 is a 14-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SATA SSD. It runs Windows 11 Professional on a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display driven by Intel Iris Xe graphics. The package includes an ION portable outdoor LED projector with 70W speakers, Bluetooth, a rechargeable battery, microphone, USB and HDMI connections, and 720P HD projection capability.

Thermals noise power

The laptop uses a 4-cell lithium-ion battery and includes USB-C ports supporting Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery alongside USB 3.2 Gen 1 PowerShare, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet. The projector operates from its own rechargeable battery with integrated 70W speakers for outdoor use. Both devices draw power independently through their respective charging systems.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous workloads the Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor can reach up to 4.8GHz from its 1.8GHz base frequency with 12MB cache. The Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory for prolonged rendering tasks. The projector maintains 720P output while its battery powers both projection and audio during extended outdoor sessions.

Questions about this item

How is the ION projector connected to the Dell Latitude 7420 for the first projection?

Connect the ION projector to the laptop using the HDMI cable; the USB-C ports on the Latitude 7420 support DisplayPort Alt Mode so a USB-C to HDMI adapter also works. Select the projector as the display output in Windows 11 Pro settings.

What battery replacement will the Dell Latitude 7420 require after extended daily use?

The 4-cell Lithium-Ion battery inside the Latitude 7420 will eventually lose capacity and need replacement; the ION projector also contains a rechargeable battery that will need separate replacement when it no longer holds a charge.

What thermal limit appears first on the i7-1185G7 during sustained heavy workloads?

The Intel Core i7-1185G7 will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clock speeds below the 4.8 GHz maximum turbo before the 16GB DDR4 memory or 256GB SATA SSD reach any limits.
