Business laptop with integrated graphics

The Dell Latitude 7420 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an 11th Generation Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with a 3.0 GHz base and 4.8 GHz boost. Sixteen gigabytes of LPDDR4x memory and a 256 GB NVMe SSD handle everyday workloads. Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 IPS display at 60 Hz.

Suited for office mobility.

This configuration suits professionals who need vPro manageability, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity in a compact chassis. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics processor for rendering, gaming or multi-monitor 4K output should look elsewhere. The integrated graphics share system memory and do not support external GPU enclosures. The fixed 16 GB memory also rules out future RAM upgrades.

256 GB NVMe SSD defines storage capacity

The single 256 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe drive sets the total local storage available out of the box. No secondary drive bay or hard drive is present, so users with large media libraries or virtual-machine images will need external or cloud storage. The SSD uses the NVMe protocol for fast boot and application loading within that capacity limit.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-1185G7 is reaching its 4.8GHz boost after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and watch the live frequency while running a heavy single-thread load; the reading should climb toward 4.8GHz when thermal headroom allows.

What accessories are included and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the Latitude 7420 laptop and its power adapter; memory and storage are onboard, so no RAM or SSD modules are needed, but any USB-C dock, external monitor or carrying case is sold separately.

Which configuration suits a user who needs maximum onboard memory and fast storage?

This unit ships with 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz soldered memory and a 256GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD; both are fixed, so there is no alternative capacity to select for this specific part number.
