Business ultraportable for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7420 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen laptop built around a quad-core Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor reaching 4.40 GHz turbo. It ships with 16GB memory and a 256GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The carbon-fibre chassis weighs from 1.22 kg and measures 17.27 mm thin, suiting frequent travel and desk docking alike.

Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.0 define display bandwidth

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports carry power delivery and DisplayPort signalling over USB-C for external monitors and accessories. A full-size HDMI 2.0 output adds a second video path without adapters. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi; no wired Ethernet port is present. The microSD 4.0 reader and optional uSIM slot support removable media and WWAN modules when configured.

Carbon fibre or aluminium chassis options

The carbon-fibre model starts at 1.22 kg and 16.90 mm height, while aluminium variants reach 1.46 kg and 16.4 mm. Both share identical 321.35 mm width and 208.69 mm depth for consistent bag fit. A wedge-shaped lock slot secures the device physically. Universal audio jack and USB-A with power-share complete the daily I/O without dongles.
