Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7420 is a 14.0 inch business notebook powered by an Intel Core i5-1145G7 quad-core processor running at 2.6GHz with 8MB cache. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive. The 1920 x 1080 LED panel is non-touch and uses integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.

Suited to office work and travel.

This configuration suits professionals who need a light, secure Windows 11 Pro machine for productivity, video calls and multitasking on the move. The two available memory slots allow an upgrade to 32GB total capacity. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering, CAD or gaming should look at a different class of system.

512GB PCIe NVMe SSD defines storage speed

The single specification that decides fit is the 512GB PCIe NVMe drive, which sets both the boot-drive capacity and the interface speed for the operating system and applications. Users requiring more internal storage or a second drive bay will need an external solution or a different chassis.
