Questions about this item

How do I install the AC adapter and what step do people often miss?

Connect the supplied OEM AC adapter to the barrel-style power input; the step often missed is ensuring the plug seats fully so the charging indicator lights.

Which component will need replacement first and when?

The internal battery is the only user-replaceable part; after several hundred charge cycles capacity drops and a Dell service kit is required.

What thermal limit appears first during a long compile or render?

The i7-1260P hits its 4.70 GHz turbo ceiling, then power management throttles the 12-core CPU to stay within the chassis cooling envelope.
