This Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0-inch laptop built for professionals who need a portable Windows 10 device. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The non-touch display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Suits mobile workers needing Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI

The Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port and HDMI output support external displays and fast peripherals for travelling consultants. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 keep connections reliable on the move. Buyers who want a touchscreen or a discrete graphics card should look at other models.

256GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD defines storage speed

The installed NVMe drive provides the fast boot and load times that distinguish this configuration from slower storage options. With 8GB of soldered DDR4, memory capacity is fixed at the listed amount. Verify that this capacity meets your workload before purchase.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD slot in the Latitude 7480?

The laptop uses a standard M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe SSD; the 256 GB drive supplied fits that slot directly.

Which screw or latch must be released first when opening the bottom cover to reach the NVMe drive?

Remove all eight Torx T5 screws on the base, then pry from the front edge near the trackpad to release the clips.

How often should the 56 Wh battery be calibrated to keep the reported capacity accurate?

Run a full charge–discharge cycle every two to three months; the integrated controller will then reset its capacity estimate.
