Business-grade ultraportable

The Dell Latitude 7480 is a 14.0-inch laptop built for professionals who need a compact, durable machine with a high-resolution touchscreen. It runs Windows 10 Home on an Intel Core i7-7600U dual-core processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB SATA M.2 SSD. The QHD panel delivers 2560 x 1440 resolution for sharp visuals during presentations or detailed document work.

Sustained workload behaviour

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles everyday office applications and video playback without a dedicated GPU. Under continuous load the dual-core processor maintains its 2.8 GHz base frequency while the slim chassis manages heat through passive and active cooling. Battery life benefits from the efficient 7th generation architecture during typical business tasks such as email, browsing and document editing.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives ready to use with Windows 10 Home pre-installed on the 512GB SSD; no drive mounting or OS setup is required. Connectivity is straightforward via three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Thunderbolt 3 USB-C, Gigabit Ethernet and a microSD reader. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory or a second storage drive cannot upgrade this unit because the RAM is soldered and only one M.2 slot is provided.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Core i7-7600U generate during all-day use?

The dual-core 2.8 GHz Core i7-7600U has a low thermal design power, so the Latitude 7480 runs quietly and stays cool under typical office workloads.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI ports?

You need a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C cable for the USB-C port and a standard HDMI cable for the HDMI output; the laptop includes its charger.

Will my older USB 3.0 devices and 802.11n Wi-Fi network work with this laptop?

Yes — three USB 3.0 ports accept legacy devices, and the 802.11ac wireless card is backward compatible with 802.11n networks.
