Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch Windows 10 Pro notebook built around an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.90 GHz with a 4.20 GHz turbo. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 2400 memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles the 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display.

Ready to deploy out of the box

The system arrives with Windows 10 Professional 64 bit pre-installed and a 65W AC adapter included. No optical drive is fitted, so recovery media or OS reinstalls require a USB stick. The 4-cell 60W battery is internal; swapping it in the field needs a screwdriver and care with the magnesium-alloy chassis clips.

Everyday productivity with clear limits

The 256GB SSD holds the operating system, core applications and a working set of documents comfortably. The 8GB DDR4 2400 memory handles typical office multitasking and light virtualisation. Demanding creative suites, large data sets or modern gaming will exhaust both capacity and integrated graphics headroom quickly.
