Genuine Dell Latitude 7490 LCD back cover

This genuine Dell OEM part replaces the display lid on the Latitude 7490 14-inch laptop. It restores the original structural integrity and professional appearance of the device. The assembly is built from a durable magnesium-alloy composite designed for long-term use. It is the correct component for repairing a damaged or cracked back cover.

Sustained structural protection and alignment

The magnesium-alloy composite construction maintains rigidity under daily handling and transport stress. It preserves factory hinge alignment throughout the product lifespan, preventing the lid wobble or misalignment that can develop with inferior parts. The scratch-resistant matte finish resists wear from repeated opening and closing cycles. Internal antenna and display cable routing channels remain correctly positioned for reliable signal integrity.

Part number 82H7P ensures exact fit

Only the 82H7P part number guarantees compatibility with the Latitude 7490 14-inch chassis and hinge mounting points. Using a different part number risks misaligned screw holes, improper hinge tension, or blocked antenna paths. This assembly supports the original internal cable routing and antenna placement without modification. Buyers needing a cover for a different screen size or laptop series cannot use this component.

Questions about this item

Does the 14" LCD back cover add noticeable heat or noise to a Latitude 7490 running all day?

The magnesium-alloy composite cover is a passive structural part with no moving components, so it produces no noise and does not change the laptop's thermal output.

What existing components must I already have to install the 82H7P back cover on my Latitude 7490?

You need the original display panel, hinges, internal antenna cables and display cable, because the cover is designed to reuse those OEM parts.

Will the 7490 back cover fit if I keep my current hinges and antenna routing from an older Latitude lid?

Yes, the assembly maintains factory hinge alignment and supports the existing internal antenna and display cable routing for direct compatibility.
