Latitude 7490 14" Business Ultrabook

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0" business ultrabook built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 11 Pro machine. It runs on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 3MB L2 cache and Intel UHD Graphics 620. The system includes 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD for fast storage.

Suited for office work and mobile productivity

This laptop suits users who need a lightweight 14" device with a 1920 x 1080 IPS display for document work, web browsing and video calls. The integrated graphics and 8GB memory limit its fit for heavy creative suites, modern gaming or virtualisation workloads. Buyers who need more RAM or a dedicated GPU should look at other configurations.

Quad-core i5-8350U with 1TB SSD

The processor reaches up to 3.60 GHz across four cores and eight threads, paired with a 1TB solid-state drive. This combination decides whether the laptop handles your daily multitasking and file storage needs. Verify that the CPU performance and storage capacity match your workflow before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the Dell Latitude 7490 7000 arrive with a charger and are there any essential accessories I must buy separately?

The unit ships with a functional battery and an AC adapter which may be a new third-party or a used OEM part. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed so no separate licence is required.

Should I pick the 8 GB DDR4 and 1 TB SSD configuration or look for a different memory and storage combination?

This model is offered with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB SSD as the fixed specification. If your workload needs more memory or a larger drive you would need a different SKU.

What does the i5-8350U 1.70 GHz up to 3.60 GHz quad-core processor actually deliver in everyday office work?

The four-core 1.70 GHz chip can boost to 3.60 GHz for short bursts, giving responsive performance for typical business tasks such as document editing, web browsing and video calls.
