Business-ready 14.0 laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built for professional workloads. It ships with an Intel Core i7 processor running at 1.9GHz, 16GB of memory and a 256GB solid-state drive. The unit is supplied new with an AC adapter and a functional battery included.

Verify your docking and port needs

Confirm that your existing monitors, docks and peripherals match the ports available on this Latitude 7490 chassis. Check whether your power brick uses the same connector type as the supplied AC adapter. Ensure any specialised software licences you rely on are transferable to a fresh Windows 11 Pro installation.

Steps up from smaller memory or slower drives

This configuration replaces a system limited to 8GB of RAM or a mechanical hard drive, delivering faster multitasking and quicker boot times. The jump is worthwhile when your current machine struggles with multiple business applications or large spreadsheets. It does not suit buyers who need a dedicated graphics processor or more than 256GB of internal storage.
