Business-ready laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a thin and light notebook built for professional workloads. It ships new with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and a quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor running at 1.90GHz. Sixteen gigabytes of memory and a 500 GB NVMe drive provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times. A 14.0 inch FHD touchscreen completes the package.

Suited to mobile professionals

This machine suits office workers, remote staff and students who need a portable device for document editing, video calls and web-based applications. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 uses shared system memory, so buyers who want discrete graphics performance for rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at something else.

Capacity and headroom

The 500 GB NVMe SSD holds the operating system, core applications and a healthy working set of project files with room to spare. Sixteen gigabytes of RAM keeps dozens of browser tabs and office programs running smoothly. Storage-heavy media libraries or large virtual-machine images will eventually require external drives or cloud offload.
