Dell Latitude 7490 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It comes equipped with 32GB of memory and a 1TB Dell solid-state drive. The display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution. Battery life is rated up to 10 hours. The unit weighs 13.03 x 8.7 x 0.70 and includes a card reader and one HDMI port. Graphics are handled by Intel UHD Graphics and the keyboard is non-backlit.

Suited for mobile professionals needing memory

This configuration suits professionals who require 32GB of memory for running multiple business applications or virtual machines simultaneously. The 1TB drive provides substantial local storage for large project files. Buyers who need a backlit keyboard for dim environments should look elsewhere. Users requiring a higher resolution display for detailed visual work will not find it here. The integrated graphics limit the machine for intensive 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads.

Quad-core i7-8650U processor defines performance

The Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor operating at 1.9 GHz is the specification that determines whether this laptop matches the required performance tier. Its multi-threaded capability handles typical office productivity and multitasking loads. Workloads demanding sustained high clock speeds or discrete graphics acceleration will exceed what this processor delivers. Verify that the application requirements align with this CPU class before purchase.
