Business-ready 14-inch laptop

The Dell Latitude 7490 is a 14.0-inch business laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It is built for professionals who need a compact, managed device with a quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor at 1.90 GHz and integrated Intel UHD Graphics. The non-touch Full HD display suits office workflows and video calls.

16 GB DDR4 memory and 1 TB SSD

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 2400 memory provides headroom for multitasking across browser tabs, Office apps and virtual meetings. The 1 TB solid-state drive stores large project files and local databases without the bottlenecks of a mechanical drive. Integrated graphics and the U-series processor limit sustained heavy compute or modern 3D workloads.

Charger, webcam and wireless included

An AC adapter is supplied so the laptop is ready to deploy immediately. The integrated webcam supports conferencing out of the box. Dual-band 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth handle dock and peripheral connections without extra dongles. Buyers who need a discrete GPU, a touchscreen or a newer Windows licence should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" 1280 x 1024 display work with my existing 1080p external monitor via HDMI?

The 14.0" panel runs at 1280 x 1024 and the integrated Intel UHD Graphics supports external displays, so a 1080p monitor will work at its native resolution.

How can I verify the i7-8650U is hitting its 1.90 GHz base clock after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and watch the CPU frequency readout under load; it should sit at or above 1.90 GHz on all four cores.

Does the box include a genuine Dell 65 W charger or only a third-party adapter?

The listing states an AC adapter is included, either a new third-party unit or a used OEM Dell charger, so you receive a working power supply either way.
