Business laptop with 32GB RAM

The Dell Latitude 7490 combines an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U processor, 32GB DDR4 2400 memory and a 1TB SSD in a 14.0 inch FHD non-touch chassis. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. Integrated UHD Graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Best for office and mobile professionals

Suits users who need abundant memory for multitasking, fast SSD storage and a 14 inch anti-glare display for travel. Not for buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics for gaming or creative rendering, or a larger screen size.

32GB DDR4 2400 memory soldered

The 32GB DDR4 2400 configuration is fixed and not user-upgradable, so the memory capacity you purchase is the final amount. Verify this meets your workload before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional DDR4 2400 memory in the Latitude 7490?

Remove the base cover, release the two SODIMM latches, insert the DDR4 2400 modules at the correct angle, then press down until they click; the step often missed is seating both latches fully before replacing the cover.

What battery replacement will the 4-cell 60 WHr unit need later?

The 4-cell 60 WHr battery is user-replaceable; swap it for a compatible Dell 4-cell 60 WHr pack when runtime drops below your needs.

When does the 60 WHr battery limit appear during sustained work?

Under continuous load the 60 WHr capacity typically delivers several hours before requiring a recharge from the AC adapter.
