Latitude 7490 business laptop

The Latitude 7490 is a 14-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and includes an AC adapter. This configuration targets professionals who need a portable workstation for office productivity and managed IT environments.

32 GB DDR4 memory and 512 GB SSD

The 32 GB DDR4 memory provides ample headroom for multitasking across virtual machines, large spreadsheets and multiple browser profiles. The 512 GB solid-state drive offers fast boot and application load times, though users with extensive local media libraries or offline databases may eventually require external storage.

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles standard business displays and video playback without added power draw. It does not support demanding 3D workloads or modern gaming titles. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance for CAD rendering or video editing should consider a different system.

Questions about this item

Will the 14" 1920 x 1080 non-touch display work with my older docking station that uses HDMI?

The laptop has an HDMI port so you can connect it directly to a monitor or docking station that accepts HDMI input.

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-8650U and 32GB DDR4 are running correctly after I set up Windows 10 Pro?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab and confirm the CPU shows four cores at 1.9 GHz base speed and the memory reads 32 GB DDR4.

The listing says AC adapter included; do I need to buy any cable or peripheral to start using the laptop?

The power adapter ships in the box, so the only extra items you might want are a mouse, external keyboard or additional USB-C accessories.
