Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Dell Latitude 7490 so I can check if it fits my bag or dock?

The chassis measures 21.4 x 17.1 x 4.5 inches and weighs 3.09 pounds, so compare those figures with your sleeve or docking station clearance.

How do I install extra DDR4 1866 memory in this laptop and what step do people miss?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the SODIMM at an angle until it clicks, then press flat; the step often missed is re-seating the battery connector before closing the case.

When will the 4-cell 60 Whr battery need replacement and what is the correct part?

Expect 2–3 years of daily use before capacity drops below 80%; order a genuine Dell 4-cell 60 Whr pack with the same connector to keep Express Charge working.
