Genuine Dell OEM LCD Spring Latch

This genuine Dell OEM spring latch is manufactured specifically for the Latitude D520 laptop. It replaces a broken or missing latch to secure the display panel when closed. The part carries Dell number NF742 and matches the component shown in the product images. Buyers needing a different laptop model or a complete hinge assembly will not find a compatible part here.

Simple Screw-In Replacement

Installation requires only a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the bezel screws and swap the old latch into the chassis. The spring mechanism must be seated correctly or the lid will not lock shut. Common issues include stripping the tiny screw threads or losing the spring tension during reassembly. No adhesive or soldering is involved.
