Genuine Dell LCD Lid Latch Assembly NG142

This genuine Dell OEM latch assembly carries part number NG142 and fits Latitude D620, D630, D630c and D631 notebooks. It replaces a broken or missing display catch so the screen stays securely closed. The part is new and matches the component originally installed at the factory.

Practical limits of the mechanical latch interface

The latch engages only with the chassis and lid geometry of the listed Latitude models. It will not align with other Dell series or third-party laptops because the hook profile and mounting points are model-specific. Buyers who need a latch for a different Dell family or a non-Dell notebook cannot use this assembly. No tools or adhesives beyond the original screw points are required for installation.
