Questions about this item

How is the RMXNJ power button cover installed on the Latitude E5410, and which step is often missed?

Remove the keyboard bezel, disconnect the old cover's ribbon cable, snap the new assembly into the center control frame, reconnect the cable, then reseat the bezel — the step most people skip is re-engaging the tiny ZIF connector lock before snapping the bezel back.

What maintenance or replacement will the RMXNJ power button cover need over the life of the Latitude E5410?

The cover itself is a passive plastic piece with no moving electronics; it only needs replacement if the actuator tab breaks or the surface wears through — no periodic servicing is required.
