Dell Latitude E5420 14" Laptop

The Dell Latitude E5420 is a 14.0-inch laptop powered by a dual-core Intel Core i7 2.20GHz processor with 6 MB L3 cache. It comes with 4 GB of DDR3 memory and a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD for storage. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on this charcoal gray device.

Suits office workers needing legacy ports

This model suits users who require a built-in DVD-RW drive, VGA output and a Trusted Platform Module 1.2 for basic hardware security. The integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics and 1366 x 768 HD+ display limit its use for modern gaming, video editing or colour-critical design work. Buyers needing more than 4 GB of RAM or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Fits into a workflow with external displays

The HDMI and VGA ports allow connection to external monitors or projectors for presentations. Gigabit Ethernet and Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wi-Fi provide flexible network options. The 2.5-inch SSD form factor leaves the optical bay occupied, so storage expansion would require an external drive. A multi-touch touchpad and integrated webcam support typical office collaboration.
