Dell Latitude E5450 14-inch FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0-inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U processor running at 2.60 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.20 GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240GB SATA SSD. The system ships without an operating system, so the buyer must provide and install their own Windows or Linux distribution.

Memory and storage installation

The laptop has two memory slots supporting up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM in total, allowing a straightforward upgrade from the installed 8 GB. The 2.5-inch SATA SSD is mounted in a standard drive bay that is accessible after removing the base cover. No proprietary drive caddies or soldered storage are present, so a standard SATA SSD or HDD fits directly.

Operating system requirement

The single specification that decides suitability is the absence of any pre-installed operating system. Buyers who need a ready-to-use Windows environment must acquire a licence and installation media separately before the laptop can be used for daily work.
