Questions about this item

What SATA revision does the 500 GB drive use, and what throughput does that cap in practice?

The laptop ships with a 500 GB SATA hard drive; the SATA interface limits sustained transfer to the speed of that mechanical drive.

What are the physical constraints for fitting a second memory module in the two DDR3 slots?

Two DDR3 SO-DIMM slots support up to 16 GB total; the second slot sits under the keyboard deck and accepts standard 204-pin modules.

How is Windows 10 activated on first boot, and which step do buyers often miss?

A digital product key is pre-installed; Windows 10 Home 64 Bit activates automatically once the licence agreement is accepted.
