Dell Latitude E5450 14 inch HD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0 inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.90 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB SSD. Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed, with a Windows 11 Pro upgrade path noted. This configuration suits professionals needing a portable business machine for office applications and web-based workflows.

Capacity and headroom with 16GB DDR3 and 1TB SSD

The 16GB DDR3 memory fills both available slots and reaches the maximum supported capacity of 16 GB, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. The new 1TB 2.5 inch SATA SSD provides ample space for the operating system, applications and large document libraries. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles standard display output at 1366 x 768 resolution but is not suited for demanding 3D rendering or modern gaming titles.

Build integration with Windows 10 Home and SATA

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit ready to use, and the supplier notes a Windows 11 Pro upgrade option. The 2.5 inch SATA SSD interface means storage expansion or replacement uses standard SATA drives rather than newer form factors. Non-touch HD display keeps the chassis simple for docking or external monitor setups. Bluetooth and webcam are included for conferencing and peripheral connectivity.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 GB DDR3 memory and 2.5" SATA SSD work with my older DDR3-based laptop spares?

The laptop uses 16 GB of DDR3 memory across two slots and a 2.5" SATA SSD, so existing DDR3 modules and SATA drives can be reused if they match those specifications.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-5300U is reaching its 2.90 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager or a hardware monitor while running a demanding task; the CPU clock should climb toward 2.90 GHz when thermals and power limits allow.

Does the box include a Windows 11 licence or must I buy one separately?

The unit ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit installed; a Windows 11 Pro upgrade is offered as a separate option.
