14-inch Latitude E5450 for everyday work

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5300U processor running at 2.30GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 256GB solid state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed, making it ready for office tasks, web browsing and remote study.

Black chassis with backlit keyboard and webcam

The black chassis weighs between 5 and 5.9 lbs and includes a backlit keyboard for typing in low light. A built-in webcam supports video calls, while the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366x768 non-touch display. The supplier notes Grade B cosmetic condition with visible scratches, shiny key surfaces and legible key characters.

Check display expectations and cosmetic tolerance

The 14.0-inch screen uses a 1366x768 resolution, so verify this pixel density suits your workflow before ordering. Confirm you accept Grade B cosmetic blemishes such as scratches and shiny palm-rest areas. Ensure Windows 10 Pro meets your software compatibility needs.

Questions about this item

What interface does the 256GB SSD use and what throughput does it cap at?

The 256GB solid-state drive is the only internal storage; it connects through the platform's built-in storage controller and delivers sequential speeds typical for a mainstream 6 Gb/s link.

What physical space and mounting points are required for the 256GB drive?

The drive fits the standard 2.5-inch 7 mm bay inside the Latitude E5450 chassis and uses the laptop's native screw holes and caddy.

How is Windows 10 Pro installed on this unit, and what step do people often miss?

Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed and activated; the step users often skip is running the initial out-of-box experience to create a local account and apply the first cumulative update.
