14 inch FHD Latitude E5450

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0 inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-5500U dual-core processor with a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. The system includes 16GB DDR3 memory and a new 240GB SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Ideal for mobile office work

This laptop suits professionals who need a portable 14 inch device for document editing, email and web browsing on Windows 10. The 16GB RAM supports smooth multitasking with typical office applications. Buyers who require a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a larger display should look elsewhere. The 240GB capacity may limit users with large local media libraries.

Memory capped at 16GB DDR3

The motherboard provides two memory slots but the maximum supported memory is 16GB, which is already installed. No further RAM upgrades are possible. The 2.5 inch SATA SSD can be replaced with a larger SATA drive if more storage is needed. Buyers planning to expand memory beyond this limit must choose a different platform.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-5500U is running at its 3.00 GHz turbo frequency after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and watch the live speed readout climb to 3.00 GHz when a demanding task runs.

What is included in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the Latitude E5450 with 14.0 inch FHD 1920 x 1080 display, 16GB DDR3 memory, new 240GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD and Windows 10 Home 64-bit pre-installed; no extra parts are required for basic operation.

Should I choose the 16GB memory and 240GB SSD configuration or look for a different capacity?

The unit ships with the maximum supported 16GB DDR3 across two slots and a new 240GB SATA SSD; there is no larger factory memory option, so only SSD capacity can be expanded later if needed.
