Latitude E5450 14" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0 inch Full HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-5600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency. It comes equipped with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128 GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD, running Windows 10 Home 64-bit out of the box. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Suits mobile workers needing a ready-to-go 14"

This configuration fits users who want a compact 14.0 inch FHD screen, 16 GB of RAM and a fresh SSD with Windows 10 already installed. The dual-core i7-5600U and integrated graphics cover office applications, web browsing and video playback. Buyers who need more than 128 GB of internal storage or a dedicated graphics processor should consider other options.

128 GB 2.5" SATA SSD is the storage limit

The laptop ships with a single 128 GB 2.5 inch SATA solid-state drive and no mechanical hard drive. Memory is maxed at 16 GB across two DDR3 slots, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. This fixed storage capacity is the key factor when deciding if the E5450 meets your workload requirements.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" FHD 1920 x 1080 display and Intel HD Graphics 5500 drive my older VGA projector for presentations?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 supports analogue output through the laptop's VGA port, so the 14.0" FHD panel and external projector can run simultaneously at 1920 x 1080.

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-5600U is hitting its 3.20 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a tool like HWMonitor while running a heavy task; the CPU clock should rise from the 2.60 GHz base toward 3.20 GHz on the dual cores.

Does the box include a power adapter for the 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD and 16GB DDR3 configuration?

The package contains the Latitude E5450 chassis with the 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD and 16GB DDR3 already installed, plus the matching AC adapter and power cord.
