Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 arrives with Windows 10 Home 64 Bit already activated and a Libre Office suite installed. An Intel Core i5 dual-core processor running at 2.90 GHz works with 8 GB of DDR3 memory. A 500 GB SSD provides the system drive. The 14 inch non-touch screen suits mobile professionals who need a compact workstation.

Sustained workload behaviour

The dual-core CPU handles typical office multitasking and web browsing without difficulty. Memory can be expanded to 16 GB across two slots for heavier loads. Integrated graphics limit the machine to 2D productivity and video playback. Wireless 802.11a/b/g connectivity supports standard office networks.

Thermals, noise and power

The original lithium-ion battery holds a charge for untethered work sessions. A supplied AC adapter powers the system and recharges the battery. Fan noise remains low during document editing and streaming. The chassis stays comfortable during extended use on a desk or lap.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i5 2.90 GHz processor run hot or loud under continuous load?

The laptop uses a mainstream chassis with integrated graphics and a 2.90 GHz dual-core processor, so fan noise stays moderate during typical office work all day.

Will my existing DDR3 memory modules work in the two available slots?

Yes, the system accepts DDR3 memory in its two slots and supports up to 16 GB total, so your current DDR3 sticks can be used.

Can I keep using my older 802.11a/b/g wireless router with this laptop?

The built-in wireless adapter supports 802.11a/b/g, so it will connect to your existing router without any extra hardware.
