Latitude E5450 with 14.0" FHD display

This 14.0 inch laptop delivers a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch screen driven by an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor. The CPU runs at 2.30 GHz with a 2.90 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5" SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Windows 10 Home and 1TB SSD

The operating system provides a familiar 64-bit desktop environment ready for office applications. The new 1TB solid-state drive replaces any mechanical disk, cutting boot and load times while offering ample space for documents and media.

Suited for office work, not heavy graphics

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles everyday productivity and video playback. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The 16GB memory ceiling also limits users who require more RAM for virtual machines or large datasets.

Questions about this item

Can the 16GB DDR3 memory be expanded beyond the 16 GB maximum supported?

The system has two memory slots and the manufacturer lists 16 GB as the maximum supported capacity, so no further expansion is possible.

Will the Intel Core i5-5300U throttle at its 2.90 GHz turbo frequency during long workloads?

Sustained turbo speeds depend on the laptop's thermal design; the processor's base frequency is 2.30 GHz and turbo reaches 2.90 GHz when thermals allow.

How loud does the cooling fan get when the Intel HD Graphics 5500 runs all day?

Fan noise varies with load; under continuous graphics work the fan will spin up to keep the i5-5300U and HD 5500 within thermal limits.
