Dell Latitude E5470 14 inch laptop

The Dell Latitude E5470 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. The HD display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution driven by Intel HD Graphics 520. No operating system is installed.

Suits buyers needing a managed fleet device

This configuration fits IT teams that deploy a standard Windows or Linux image across a Latitude 5470 fleet and want a fresh 500GB SSD ready for that image. The 16GB memory ceiling is fixed at two slots, so users who require more than 16GB of RAM cannot upgrade this unit. Buyers who need a touchscreen, a higher resolution panel or a discrete GPU should look elsewhere.

16GB DDR3 memory soldered to the 16GB limit

The system supports a maximum of 16GB across two DDR3 slots, meaning the installed capacity is already the highest possible. This single constraint decides whether the laptop can handle the intended workload or if a platform with expandable memory is required.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-6600U throttle under sustained load?

The dual-core processor runs at 2.60 GHz base and can boost to 3.40 GHz; thermal limits will depend on the workload and chassis cooling.

How loud and hot does the laptop get during all-day use?

The 14.0" chassis uses integrated Intel HD Graphics 520, so fan noise and surface temperature stay modest for typical office tasks.

What operating system must I supply before the machine will boot?

The unit ships with no operating system installed; you will need to provide and install your own Windows or Linux licence.
