Latitude E5570 business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6-inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor with a base speed of 2.40 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 128GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Thermals and daily power use

The Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated GPU shares system memory and keeps heat output modest during office tasks. The dual-core CPU runs at 2.40 GHz under normal loads, drawing limited power for typical productivity work. Fan noise stays low when handling documents, web browsing or video playback on the 15.6-inch screen.

Behaviour under sustained load

Under continuous demand the processor can reach 3.00 GHz turbo frequency within thermal limits. The 8GB DDR3 memory and 128GB SATA SSD maintain steady throughput for extended sessions. Memory can be expanded to 16 GB using the two available slots if workloads require more capacity.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5" SATA 128GB SSD, and what step do people get wrong?

The 128GB SSD fits the 2.5" SATA bay; the step often missed is securing the drive with the caddy screws before sliding it into the connector.

What maintenance or replacement will the 8GB DDR3 memory need later?

Two DDR3 slots support up to 16GB total; you can add a matching module or replace both sticks for more capacity.

What limit appears first on the Intel HD Graphics 520 during sustained use?

The integrated GPU shares system memory, so heavy 1920 x 1080 workloads hit the 8GB RAM ceiling before the graphics engine itself throttles.
