Product identity

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6 inch HD laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i5-6300U running at 2.40 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory across two slots and a new 128GB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1366 x 768 non-touch display. No operating system is included.

Upgrade context

This unit replaces an older machine limited to a hard drive or less memory, delivering a solid-state boot drive and 8GB RAM out of the box. The jump is worth it when you need a reliable business chassis with a user-replaceable SSD and memory ceiling of 16 GB. It is not for buyers who want a higher-resolution panel, discrete graphics, or a pre-installed operating system.

Compatibility check

Verify that your software licenses cover a clean OS install on bare metal and that any required peripherals connect over the available ports. Confirm the 128GB capacity meets your storage needs before ordering, as the drive is the only internal storage device. The two memory slots support expansion up to the 16 GB maximum if additional DDR3 modules are sourced separately.

Questions about this item

Will a 2.5 inch SATA SSD fit the drive bay?

Yes, the 128GB SSD is a 2.5 inch SATA drive so the bay accepts that form factor.

How do I install the operating system when none is included?

Create bootable media on another PC, boot the laptop from it, and install to the 128GB SSD.

Can I upgrade the memory beyond the installed 8GB?

Two DDR3 slots support up to 16GB total, so an additional 8GB module can be added.
