Product identity

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6 inch HD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. It comes with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Suitability and limits

This laptop suits users who need a business-grade machine with a large storage drive and plenty of memory for office applications and web browsing. Buyers who want a higher-resolution display or a touchscreen should look at other models. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 is not intended for demanding 3D workloads or modern gaming titles.

Deciding specification

The 1366 x 768 HD panel defines the visual workspace and cannot be upgraded. If your workflow requires more vertical pixels or sharper text rendering, this screen resolution will be the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

What does the 2.5" SATA interface limit for the 1TB SSD?

The 2.5" SATA connection determines the maximum data transfer rate the 1TB SSD can achieve, capping real-world sequential read and write speeds to the SATA bus limit.

What physical drive bay does the 1TB SSD occupy?

The 1TB SSD uses the standard 2.5-inch drive bay inside the chassis, secured with the caddy and screws designed for that form factor.

How is the 1TB SSD installed, and which step is often missed?

Slide the 2.5" SSD into the drive bay, attach the SATA connector firmly, then secure the caddy screws; the step often missed is fully seating the SATA data and power plugs before screwing the caddy down.
