Business laptop with 15.6-inch HD display

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6-inch business laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U processor. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed on the machine.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous workloads the i7-6600U runs at its 2.60 GHz base frequency and can reach 3.40 GHz turbo when thermal headroom allows. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles display output at 1366 x 768 resolution. Two memory slots are populated to the 16 GB maximum supported by the platform.

16 GB DDR3 ceiling fixes upgrade path

Memory cannot be expanded beyond the factory-fitted 16 GB because the board only supports that amount across its two slots. Buyers who need more RAM must choose a different model. The 240 GB NVMe drive can be swapped for a larger M.2 NVMe unit if additional storage is required.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Intel Core i7-6600U get when the Dell Latitude E5570 runs all day?

The dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U operates at a 2.60 GHz base and can boost to 3.40 GHz; with 16 GB DDR3 and an M.2 NVMe SSD it stays cool and quiet during typical office workloads, though sustained heavy tasks will spin the fan and warm the chassis.

What must I already own to use this Dell Latitude E5570 straight out of the box?

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, 16 GB DDR3 and the 240 GB M.2 NVMe SSD are fitted, and the 15.6" 1366 x 768 display, webcam and Bluetooth are built in, so only a power outlet is required to start working.

Can I keep using my older USB-A peripherals and external 1080p monitor with this E5570?

The laptop provides standard USB-A ports and an HDMI output that will drive a 1080p screen, while Intel HD Graphics 520 handles the external display alongside the internal 1366 x 768 panel.
