Latitude E5570 15.6" FHD laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6-inch Full HD laptop built around a dual-core Intel Core i7-6600U processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 3.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 500 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed on the system.

New 500 GB NVMe SSD impact

The newly installed 500 GB NVMe drive replaces any original mechanical storage, cutting boot and application load times compared with a traditional hard disk. The M.2 form factor leaves the 2.5-inch bay free should additional storage be required later. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is ready to use immediately after the first power-on.

Suits mobile office work, not heavy creative loads

This configuration suits professionals who need a reliable 15.6-inch screen, fast solid-state storage and 16 GB maximum memory headroom for typical business applications. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen display or more than 8 GB of memory out of the box should look at a different specification.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB DDR3 memory be upgraded later, and what is the maximum supported?

Yes, the laptop has two memory slots and supports up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM, so you can add or replace modules to reach that limit.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core i7-6600U runs at its 3.40 GHz turbo for long periods?

The dual-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the cooling system can dissipate the sustained heat load.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day workload?

Under continuous load the fan spins up to an audible level and the bottom case becomes noticeably warm, though surface temperatures stay within normal operating ranges for this ultrabook-class design.
