Business laptop for everyday work

The Dell Latitude E6420 is a 14.1-inch notebook built around a dual-core Intel Core i5-2520M processor running at 2.50 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR3 memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 handles the 1366 x 768 HD LED display. A DVD±RW drive, HDMI and VGA outputs, a webcam and a Trusted Platform Module security chip complete the core feature set.

Suits office users and students needing

This configuration fits buyers who want a lightweight Windows 10 Pro laptop with an SSD for quick boot times and enough storage for documents and common applications. The integrated graphics and HD resolution are adequate for productivity, video playback and web browsing. Buyers who want more storage, a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen or a higher-resolution panel should look at other models.

Fits a mobile workflow with legacy and modern ports

The 2.5-inch SSD leaves no 2.5-inch bay free for a second drive, so storage expansion relies on external media. HDMI and VGA ports let you connect to projectors or external monitors without adapters. Gigabit Ethernet and Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wi-Fi cover wired and wireless networking. The DVD±RW drive reads and writes optical media. The TPM chip supports hardware-based encryption for business security policies.
